"Blues over Broadway is the CD of the Week!"
- Kenny, WBAI - FM, New York

Martha Lorin is a terrific jazz singer. She delineates songs in a very appealing way. Martha tells her life story in song because it is such a varied one and grossly interesting. She uptempos "On Green Dolphin Street," moves you with "Lush Life," and shows her capabilities as a writer with "Come Walk With Me."
Gary Stevens, Syndicated Columnist: TV News, Metro Weekly Florida, New England Entertainment Digest, Colonian - Albany, NY, Casino News - Las Vegas.

Martha Lorin's "Blues Over Broadway" starts with "Satin Doll," and from the start points out her ability to bring such a great variety in her voice to the songs on this release, settle in and enjoy all the tracks on "Blues." Joost Van Steen, Jazz & Blues Tour Radio - The Netherlands.

Come Walk With Me

"Come Walk With Me is a splendid CD! I love "The Island" and Martha's rendition of the classic "You're Got a Friend" is excellent."
-- KLAS 89.7 FM

"A rare combination of burnish, smoldering sound and the intelligence to know what she's singing about." -- Friedwald - Village Voice (NYC)

"Song Stylist Martha Lorin has a smooth contralto voice that sets your mind at ease as you listen to her tell her stories. Interpreting the American popular songbook alongside classic jazz standards, the New York chanteuse shares her third solo release with guest veteran artists Fareed Haque, Johnny Frigo, Von Freeman and others."-- Santella - L. A. Jazz Scene

"Come Walk with Me" is an exciting piece of work that features, among a great many treasures, a stunningly arranged "Let's Face the Music and Dance"-- Barbara and Scott Siegel..Backstage..New York.

The Time Is Now

Martha's 1993 CD, "The Time Is Now" (Cabaret Jazz Records), was recorded in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Leading the pack are Butch Miles, Alan Pasqua, Howard Alden, Doug Lawrence & John Clayton. It's a mix of originals & standards.

George Kanzler - the New Jersey Star Ledger: "Remarkable intelligence... Her suede-soft voice wafts behind the beat like reeds in a gentle breeze."

The success of this recording prompted a move to New York City and Martha began singing in well known clubs such as Birdland, Iridium, and Eighty Eight.
